recycling

what it is...

Boy Scouts from Troops 105 and 102 help out at the Hanover Borough Recycling Center. Scouts unload the vehicles that drive onto the borough's recycling center lot and place the recyclables in the proper areas. They are able to take the following items: newspapers/phone books, cardboard, paper, aluminum, tin, and glass.

when it is...

Troop 105 helps out at the recycling center every second, fourth and fifth (if there is one) Saturday of each month from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

how it helps...

Recycling allows the troops to earn money to use towards Scouting. The money that Troop 105 receives gets split up between member's individual accounts in the form of credits for hours worked. Each boy in the troop can then use his monetary credits to pay for troop outings, camping equipment, and uniforms.
